Lip Balm

Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Hibiscus

Though this lip balm does not have any sunscreen, I decided to try it because I really wanted a balm with tint. Hibiscus is a pretty color and I have been wearing it when I do my everyday makeup (minimal and natural)  instead of lipstick. Without any makeup the color is a little much, not too crazy but I am interested in trying the lighter color options. The formula is great. It feels really nice and moisturizing and I like that this brand is cruelty-free and all natural.

Eye Treatment

Burt’s Bees Brightening Eye Treatment

I was at Target debating between this eye cream and one of Boot’s Botanical eye creams. I haven’t used it long enough to determine if it lives up to the claims but I like the way it feels. The applicator is interesting. It looks like a pencil and the tiny opening prevents you from getting too much product out at a time. Unless, you are like me, confused by the applicator, and accidentally squeeze the tube so hard that the cream shoots out across the room.

Elf Brush

e.l.f. Complexion Brush

I bought this brush for blush and I love it. It picks up enough product without globbing it on. For $3, it is totally worth trying. It would be a good brush for blush or powder. I do believe it is a little large for bronzer.

Perfecting Cream

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Aging Perfector

If you have seen past posts from me you know I am enamored with the idea of BB Cream. I have tried both Asian and American (high-end and drug store) BB Creams. I go through phases where I use powder foundation and then decide that I want more coverage. However, I despise the way foundation feels and sits on my skin. I prefer a natural looking face (partly because I am lazy) and most BB Creams do not provide any more coverage than a tinted moisturizer. Some YouTube beauty experts say this is kind of a dupe for the It Cosmetics CC+ with just a little less coverage but half the price. I need some concealer and I have really oily skin so I set this with powder. I wore this recently for eight hours and only had to powder my t-zone once. My skin is not perfect looking and after a while you can see the shine kind of separating the product but every thing I use does that (I’m really oily, like a 13 year-old).  It gives my skin a more even tone and a little more coverage than my powder foundations.  I am not sure how this will work during the summer but I know it is good for the winter.
